Centralisation proved once again that it couldn't be trusted, and with ongoing policy-making and enforcement in the US and the world, custodying your digital assets became, not just important, but vital. The problem is that decentralized platforms sorely lag behind the UI/UX and portability of centralized offerings. Clunky, confined to desktops, and feature-poor, in a way they themselves perpetuate the (only temporarily halted) growth of centralized entities.
